Hi Everyone,

The Annual Meeting Ballots and Notice are going out this week, but the meeting will be held on 11/20/18 (same month as last year) instead of 10/30/18 in order to accommodate a Regular Board Meeting on 10/30/18 for the purposes of providing the Membership with an update on the status of the pool deck investigation, as well as, meet with the Candidates on the Ballot.

Please let me know if there is anything further that I can provide or answer directly at: gdantico@actionlife.com. Many thanks!

Manager’s Message

Hi Everyone!

Please be reminded that the CicLAvia event in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, connecting Hollywood with Downtown and points in between, is this Sunday, September 30th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There will be dozens of musicians and bands performing throughout the day at various hubs along the route, including near Capitol Records in Hollywood.

The following streets in the 13th District will be closed during the event:
• Western Avenue, from Wilshire Boulevard to Melrose Avenue
• Melrose Avenue, from Western Avenue to Vine Street
• Vine Street, from Melrose Avenue to Yucca Street

There are several crossing points throughout the route at most major intersections. Street closures will take place as early as 6:00 a.m., as the area, will be secured strictly for cyclists, pedestrians, runners and skaters to use as a recreational space.

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) is advising vehicular traffic to expect medium-to-long delays on nearby streets. LADOT also wants to remind motorists to be alert to any uniformed officers and event participants such as cyclists and walkers.

Vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit the route during the event. If your home or business is along the route, you will need to park your vehicle elsewhere. Streets will reopen by approximately 5:30 p.m.

Please plan ahead for these events, and take public or alternate forms of transportation when possible.

More information is attached, and a link to the website is here:
https://www.laphil.com/celebratela/

The closure will include the entrance to your alleyway leading into your Parking Garage so no cars will be able to enter or exit between the early hours prior to and the late afternoon after the event. We have made arrangements for you to receive Validated Parking Passes for the Lot next door. You need to use the back entrance to obtain entry (see map). They are first to come first to serve basis, at the Front Desk.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns directly at:gdantico@actionlife.com. Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

Hi Everyone!

The Annual Meeting of the Membership for your Association will be held on October 30, 2018, in the Fitness Center for the purpose of electing a Board of Directors. You will receive an official meeting notice with the voting ballot.

At this time, we are requesting candidates for the Board of Directors. The Board consists of five (5) members. This year, there are two (2) positions up for re-election, each for a two (2) year term. The elected Board members will then meet and appoint officers; therefore, candidates will run for a position on the Board only, and not a particular office. In order to run for the Board of Directors, the candidate must be an owner and be a member in good standing.

The Board of Directors meets in the evening every 3rd Monday of each month to conduct the business of the Association. The meetings can last 2-3 hours. There may be other business to be handled between meetings, which may require an informal discussion meeting, phone polling of the Board, or a Special Meeting of the Board, which could mean additional time commitments.

If you are interested in running for the Board, please complete the enclosed form, or pick one up at the Front Desk and return it to the Broadway Hollywood Homeowners Association c/o The Management Office. Candidate statements must be submitted prior to 5:00 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2017, in order to be included in the ballot.

Thank you for taking an active, positive interest in your community!

Manager’s Message

Hi Everyone!

Effective this past Saturday, September 15, 2018, we changed the Valet Vendor from Coast Parking to Proper Parking. We have retained all Staff with the new company so only slight changes will occur, detailed below:

1. Contact Information – If you are currently using the *Whatsapp* to text or call in your requests that have not changed. If you were using their cell phone number to text
your requests that it is no longer in use. If you would like to text your requests (iPhone users only) you may use properparking@outlook.com.

2. Appearance – Uniforms will now always be black polo shirts with a customized The Broadway Hollywood logo on it, black slacks, and black shoes. They will no longer
transition to the collar white shirts, vests and ties for Winter. Logo Black Sweaters will be provided for the colder months.

3. Service Standards – Proper Parking offers a considerable amount of additional services to the residents, like Christmas Trees to include delivery, Pumpkins, and SIte
Seeing Tours to name a few. They will attend the next Regular Session Meeting scheduled for next month October 2018 to introduce themselves and address the
Membership on all that they have to offer.

We apologize for any communication inconveniences that this may have caused to anyone, as we were making this transition, we were unaware that homeowners were still utilizing the data texting only instead of the *Whatsapp. Please no longer text only.
