Construction Update & Special Assessment

With what now seems like a never ending storm system, the rooftop reconstruction project has suffered a few setbacks causing the substantial completion date to be pushed to April 28, 2023. The construction team will continue to work when possible to meet this date.

In addition to the setbacks causing the completion date to be pushed back, there have been several discoveries of items on the roof that require repair and/or replacement. Due to these discoveries, the project is severely over budget. With the project being as over budget as it is, the Board of Directors has approved a special assessment of $1,200.00 to each unit.

The payment options for each unit is to either pay a lump sum payment of $1,200.00 or pay $100.00 a month for twelve consecutive months. If you have yet to receive a special assessment payment election form, please contact building management. The assessment will begin to appear on your monthly Association statement(s) in May.

Should you have any questions about the assessment, please stop by the management office on the third floor.

Voting Deadline – Governing Document Amendments 2/16/2023

If you have yet to vote on the proposed amendments to the Association’s governing documents, you now have until Thursday, February 16th to do so. Should you have any questions about the amendments, or require a ballot, please contact building management at or stop by the management office between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The ballots will be opened during a special general session on Monday, February 27th. No time has been announced, but as soon as one is, building management will send out notice to the membership.


The Association’s Board of Directors met on January 17th for a special executive session to extend the voting deadline by 30-days for the members who have yet to submit their vote(s) for the proposed amendments to the Association’s CC&Rs and Bylaws. The new deadline to submit your vote(s) is now Thursday, February 16, 2023.

January 2023 Association Meeting Postponed

The January Association meeting that was scheduled for Tuesday, January 17th has been postponed. The date is to be determined, but management will send out notice to the membership as soon as a date is confirmed with your Board of Directors.

Construction Update & GM Resignation

Due to inclement recent inclement weather and more inclement weather predicted through January 19th, the estimated completion date for the rooftop construction has once again been pushed back. The new estimated completion date will be around the third week of February. Management will provide further updates as time goes on.

Shawn Bieber has resigned as the General Manager of The Broadway Hollywood after being in the position for four years. He has taken another position with Action Property Management as a Roving General Manager will he’ll be assisting other properties in Action’s portfolio between Los Angeles and San Diego. His last day at Broadway Hollywood will be Tuesday, January 31st.
