The next meeting of The Broadway Hollywood Homeowners Association will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and be held via Zoom.
We urge you to continue to practice social distancing and wear face coverings while in the common areas. With there now being 37,000 recorded cases of COVID-19 in California and 17,500 of them in Los Angeles County, it’s important that all precautions are taken for everyone’s safety. There’s hand sanitizer located at the front desk and valet office as well.
Please don’t hesitate to contact management at email@example.com should you have any questions or require any assistance.
As of Monday, April 13, 2020, the fitness center and pool are closed until further notice. This is per the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Per the Health Officer Order, fitness areas, including basketball and tennis courts, community or recreational rooms, swimming pools and jacuzzis must be closed to all occupants and staff in multifamily residences. Please note that the rooftop is still open.
Dear Broadway Hollywood Family,
As you are all aware, the Association is in the preconstruction phase of the upcoming rooftop reconstruction project. As a result of the 2nd Town Hall meeting that occurred on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, we’re conducting a non-binding survey to collect ideas and opinions as to what items you would like to have at the pool area. We ask that you please complete the survey at your earliest convenience. Please note that this is not a vote, but a means to collect as many ideas and opinions as possible. Surveys are available at the front desk. Please contact management at firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any questions.
Dear Broadway Hollywood Family,
Good day everyone. I hope all is well. For those of you that have utilized the fitness center over the past week, thank you for following the temporary reservation protocol. Beginning on Sunday, March 29th, we will be implementing two minor changes to the reservation process. The first change is regarding scheduling. There will be sixteen, 45 minute predetermined time slots available daily with 30 minute gaps between each reservation to allow for cleaning. The second change is to how long in advance that you may make a reservation. You’re now only able to make a reservation one day in advance. With these changes, the fitness center becomes available to more of you.
With the growing number of COVID-19 cases worldwide and over 80,000 reported in the United States, I would like to go over the protocols we have in place should an individual in the building be quarantined or contract it.
If You’re In Quarantine:
• Should you need to leave your unit, please provide management with a thirty minute notice. We will isolate an elevator for your use. The elevator will be disinfected and sanitized.
• We will assist you with the disposal of garbage.
• All of your deliveries will be announced via a phone call and left outside of your door.
• No member of the staff will be permitted to enter your unit.
If You Have A Lab Confirmed COVID-19 Diagnosis:
• You’re to inform management immediately.
• Management will notify the local health department as well as the Vice President and CEO of Action Property Management. Your identity will remain confidential. Only management will know.
Should there be a confirmed case in the building, a mass email will be sent to all residents and owners, but the individual’s identity will remain confidential. Please don’t hesitate to contact me at email@example.com or stop by my office on the third floor if you have any questions or concerns. In addition to this, if I’m not in my office, my cell number is (717) 480-3192. Take care, and please let me know if there’s anything that I can assist with.
General Manager – The Broadway Hollywood
Dear Broadway Hollywood Homeowners,
Good day. On Friday, March 20th at 10:00 a.m., your Board of Directors along with Action Property Management held a special executive session to discuss preventative actions to be implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the stay at home order announced by Governor Gavin Newsom yesterday.
As part of the stay at home order, non-essential businesses have been forced to close with specific restrictions on restaurants. Katsuya, Pie Hole, Body Energy, APL, and others are still in operation. Katsuya is offering delivery and take-out every day from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Pie Hole and Body Energy will remain open on a daily basis with adjusted hours. Pie Hole will now operate from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. while Body Energy will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. New menus from APL are available at the front desk. A list of local restaurants that are still in operation will be provided for everyone over the next few days.
Regarding the staffing of Broadway Hollywood, janitorial, maintenance, front desk, valet, and management, all positions are considered essential. Below is an excerpt from Mayor Garcetti’s “Safer at Home” order that covers a short list of essential occupations / roles:
Plumbers, electricians, exterminators, custodial/janitorial workers, handyman services, funeral home workers and morticians, moving services, HVAC installers, carpenters, landscapers, gardeners, property managers, private security personnel and other service providers who provide services to maintain the safety, sanitation, and essential operation to properties and other essential activities.
In the event that further orders or closures are issued by the state or federal government, Action Property Management is in the process of developing scenarios for different levels of staffing if we need to further reduce the number of team members working at the property. We are hoping to keep staff members working as long as they are ready, willing, and able to do so. We do ask that you practice social distancing, including in your interactions with the Door Hosts, in an effort to reduce the chances of spreading illness. We may begin placing packages on a table in the lobby and ensuring that the appropriate resident retrieves them rather than handing them directly to you.
The next Town Hall meeting to discuss the upcoming rooftop reconstruction that was scheduled for April 1, 2020, has been postponed. Despite the postponement, the project’s architect will be bringing in samples and renderings that management will display for everyone to see. As always, the more feedback we receive, the better. We are still moving forward with the permitting and design aspects of the project. No designs have been selected yet. Further updates will be provided in the future.
The next Association meeting is still scheduled for April 1, 2020. You will be able to attend the meeting via teleconferencing. Management will provide the necessary information closer to the date for those that wish to do so.
To continue our efforts in making the building as safe as possible for all residents, the following temporary protocols for the fitness center were implemented on Saturday, March 21st:
• Only residents are permitted.
• Only one resident is permitted to be in the fitness center at a time.
• You MUST wipe down all equipment that you use.
• To use the fitness center, you must make a reservation with the front desk. Reservations cannot exceed one hour.
• There will be a thirty minute gap between reservations and reservations will not overlap one another.
• Please do not use the facility if: you have had a cough, shortness of breath, or temperature over 98.6, unexplained muscle aches, sore throat or cold symptoms during the past five days, or if you have had exposure to anyone who may have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last fourteen days.
Should you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please reach out to management at firstname.lastname@example.org. Take care, and have a wonderful day.
