Parade Street Closures, Clothing Drive, & Safety Training
Beginning on Saturday, November 30th, the Los Angeles Police Department will begin setting up several road closures in the area due to the Hollywood Christmas Parade. The closure schedule is posted by the lobby elevators and there are print outs available at the front desk. Please note that the parade route goes directly in front of the building. During the parade, you will not be able to drive in or out of the building.
The first ever Broadway Hollywood Holiday Clothing Drive will start on Monday, December 2nd. All donations can be left at the front desk and will go to a local charity.
The building’s high-rise safety training has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 4th. As part of the training, a one hour class is specifically for residents. This class begins at 3:30 p.m. The location is TBD, but please reach out to management if you would like to attend. Following the resident class, a fire drill will be performed. Alarms will be heard for approximately five minutes.

New Annual Meeting Date & Water Shut Off
Dear Broadway Hollywood Homeowners,
On Tuesday, November 26, 2019, a planned water shut off is scheduled to take place. The shut off is to begin at 10:00 a.m. and could last until 2:00 p.m. The shut off is needed for in unit plumbing repairs.
The Annual Meeting that occurred on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, has been pushed to Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the fitness center. The meeting was rescheduled do to lack of quorum. Only 32 of the needed 49 ballots were submitted. The amount of ballots needed for quorum has already been met for the December meeting. If you have yet to vote, please submit your ballots to the front desk or the management office at your earliest convenience.

Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting is less than two weeks away. Make sure to turn in your ballots. As of Friday, November 8, only 20 out of 96 ballots have been submitted. If you’ve misplaced your voting materials, more will be made available for you on Tuesday the 12th at the front desk. If you have any questions about the voting materials, make sure to contact management at sbieber@actionlife.com.
Upcoming Building Maintenance Items & Election Ballots
The new election ballots have been mailed out. If you don’t receive yours before Halloween, or if you have any questions about the documents in the mailer, please contact Shawn Bieber at sbieber@actionlife.com or (323) 871-2985. The Annual Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19th at 6:30 p.m. in the fitness center.
On Tuesday, October 29, the building will have its annual backflow testing and maintenance performed. This will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. and will hopefully be completed by 2:00 p.m. During this time period, there will be an interruption with your water service.
On Thursday, October 31, we will be commencing with a large painting project. This project includes painting of all metal railing / iron work throughout the building. Access will be needed to all units that have metal balcony railings to ensure painting is done from the interior side. Please also ensure that precautions are taken if there is any furniture on your balcony as to avoid any damage. Mandatory smoke and carbon monoxide detector inspection in all units is currently underway. If you haven’t contacted Shawn Bieber yet, please do so to provide access. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.

Association Elections & Fire Alarm Testing
Dear Broadway Hollywood Homeowners,
Voting materials for this year’s Association elections have been mailed out. If you haven’t received yours yet, please notify management immediately. Please turn in all voting material in the provided sealed envelope and return to management. The results of the election will be announced at the Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 29th.
On Thursday, October 17th, a fire alarm test will be conducted to ensure the recent repairs to our system are 100% effective in case of an actual emergency.. This is a result of our Reg 4 testing that occurred in August. The fire alarm testing will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. and we’re hopeful it will be completed before 10:00 a.m. The alarm will be sounding intermittently and not for the entire hour.
