If you would like to contribute to the 2020 Staff Gift Fund to show your appreciation to the staff for their commitment to Broadway Hollywood and its residents, please contact Shawn Bieber or Alfredo Burgenio. We ask that all contributions are received before Tuesday, December 8, 2020 so that we can make the distribution to the team by Monday, December 21, 2020. Staff rosters are available at the front desk as well as the valet office.

Please read the letter below prepared by the Hollywood Partnership to inform the community as to what safety precautions they’re taking over Halloween weekend:

In order to keep our neighborhood safe and limit the spread of the virus, LAPD intends to deploy approximately 300 officers in Hollywood this year for Halloween. That deployment size is the same as used the last few years (in normal times) for major events such as Halloween, the Christmas parade, and New Year’s Eve, even though bars and clubs, and other establishments are not allowed to have indoor operations due to the Mayor’s public health order. Additionally, there will be no organized outdoor events allowed and there will be consequences for area businesses that break the rules and operate beyond the guidelines for their business type.

To deter against groups forming and becoming super-spreader events, officers will be deployed in numerous ways, including: on motorcycles, mounted on horses, conducting foot patrols, and driving police vehicles to protect the district. Their plan is to enforce a zero-tolerance policy for any property crime, violence, open containers, public inebriation, and other quality-of-life violations.

As an additional deterrent and in the interest of public safety, there will be a temporary no parking zone on both Friday (10/30) and Saturday (10/31) nights on Hollywood Boulevard between La Brea and Gower. The times for the temporary no parking / tow-away zone will be from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. both nights. LAPD intends to tow away any vehicle that is parked within the zone after 8:00 p.m.

The Hollywood Partnership’s security team will be deployed until 11:00 p.m. on 10/30 & 10/31, and our clean team will be adding extra bodies and working around the clock to clean up the district from any Halloween activities that do occur. We strongly encourage you to stay safe this year and avoid large gatherings of people.

On Wednesday, October 21st, there will be a temporary interruption in the building’s water service beginning at 10:00 a.m. The service interruption is due to minor repairs being needed to the building’s main back flow. Water service will be restored at approximately 2:00 p.m. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact building management at sbieber@actionlife.com.

Warner Bros. will be filming “Lucifer” on Friday, October 16th from noon through 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17th.

The main closure will be on Vine Street between Hollywood and Yucca from 8:00 p.m. through 2:00 a.m. This closure will only be for the southbound lane.

The Broadway Hollywood Homeowners Association’s Annual Meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 20th, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. Please contact management for the Zoom log-in information. The log-in information is also posted in the mailroom. After the adjournemtn of the Annual Meeting, a General Session will be called to order at approximately 6:40 p.m.

If you still haven’t received your ballot, please inform management immediately as you have until Friday, October 16th, to submit it to our third party election inspector company.
