Rooftop Demolition 4/6 & Master Alarm to Sound 4/7

A commencement date for the major demolition phase of the rooftop construction project has been confirmed. The major demolition will begin on Wednesday, April 6th at approximately 9:00 a.m. This phase of the project is estimated to take between twelve and fifteen days to complete. Noise and vibrations from jackhammering will be felt on the higher floors of the building.

During the major demolition phase, should you need to make a call, attend a Zoom meeting, etc… and you’re unable to do so due to the noise, you may use the management office located on the third floor for an hour or two. Just contact building management to make a reservation.

On Thursday, April 7, 2022, required maintenance to the building’s Life & Fire Safety System has been scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. The required maintenance is to repair and test the relays that exist between the master alarm and the roll down gates in the garage area.

To confirm the repairs have been 100% successful, the sounding of the building’s master alarm is required. Prior to the sounding of the alarm, an announcement will be made over the building’s intercom system. The alarm will only be sounded a couple of times. Not like when the building has its annual Reg-4 testing when the alarm is sounded intermittently throughout an entire day.

For those of you that have never heard the building’s master alarm sound, it can be heard from over a block away from the building.
